whew! this week was a rather hectic week for me.
ahma passed away last sunday. the wake was held at my house, so the house was filled with visitors the past few days. there was the coffin and the altar (?) at the porch. there was also many tables and chairs and tentage outside the house. it's a rather rare sight i would guess. ok la, i wasnt that busy, considering i still came to school (could have gotten leave for 5 days) and returned rather late (ohwell rather guilty of that i guess). it's the adults (esp papa) who had to entertain like the guests. ahaha...
we received an inordinate number of flowers and blankets and mostly once again addressed to pa. right now there's a huge pile of blankets somewhere in the house, even after most relatives have chosen a few.
i guess this had an effect of bringing some of us cousins a lil closer. i find myself talking to some cousins whom i've never really spoken to before. and that's great.
hmm and i guess this kinda removed my irrational fear of the temple last time. ohwell i used to get goosebumps whenever i step into a temple.well i guess u can tell im not buddhist/taoist/hindu/ anything ahah. don't ask why i have no idea either. so erm i felt nothing when i went into the temple this time.. so that's good. (freethinker btw)
i guess we weren't too sad abt it... ahma's had a long life. my main regret is that i never got to know ahma very well or to be close to her.
rip.
