HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
past few day's been enjoyable and rather fun. on cny eve we had a nice cosy reunion dinner at my house where we had steamboat. i love steamboat, especially the soup! i can totally ignore every other mouthwatering dishes and just drink bowls of the flavourful soup. <3 on the first day (chu yi) some relatives came over, but the highlight of the day was watching cj7 with a whole bunch of the extended family. the movie's quite nice. i like the dog/fluff ball cross aka cj7, it is super cute. and like other typical stephen chow's films, it has its prerequisite comedic moments. i especially like the part where they parodied kung fu hustle, when the boy put on magic shoes (in a dream) and flew up to the sky, stopped, met an eagle, then descended to the ground and using the ru lai shen zhang or something. priceless. the movie was quite sad too. i had to hold back tears when the dad died despite knowing he would be revived. haha. overall it is not too bad. oh, i admire stephen chow's knack for spotting pretty young girls and casting them in his films, who would refuse anyway.... kitty zhang at a tender age of just 19 (i am soo envious! haha) is very very pretty. and the little boy which is a girl (haha)... too amazing.
on the second day (chu er), we went to wai gong's house. er, nothing to say, haha. later we went to ah mai's house, where there was a fine spread waiting for us. haha ok la not really but the food was good! for the first part of the day we were totally whiling out time away while watching some lame variety show special, because there wasn't much to do. first we planned on watching sweeney todd but the plans were nought as we had to take into account a young cousin of 12 who certainly could not pass off as 18. then we wanted to watch ah long pte ltd, but that did not materialise either because the queue at ps was too long and there were no available timeslots, the only one available was selling fast. but that kind of was a blessing in disguise, because forced into boredom (haha) we played blackjack at very small stakes of about 10 cents to a dollar (and i still lost!) it was good cousin-cousin interaction (haha!) though.
chu san. we had training on that day. i had expected mac to be very empty but to my slight surprise, it was filled with boats just like any other sat. slavedrivers. hahaha. it was a rather terrible training. the wind was so strong. and the waves... the conditions threatened to make all technique go haywire, which it did. and there were boats capping periodically, especially during the waiting part before the racesets. haha. so it was quite demoralising overall. but at least there was hmm something good... all land programs were waived! oh then after training, on a whim i went with some teammates to west mall to eat. like, it's so far and there are so many good places to eat nearby. but i realised it isnt so far afterall, took only abt 20 minutes to get back, i expected more.
so now it's sunday and i'm wasting my time and life away. sigh i should really get to doing vectors 4 and a couple of other stuff that should be done soon. as well as studying for spa and all. upcoming week looks interesting, with cross country coming up. valentine's day too. the day of lurvvve. HAHA.
ok tata.
